title : Bon Odori 2009
皆を歓迎してください!!
hahahaha yesterday was the 33th Anniversary Celebration of Bon Odori 盆踊り(Japanese Festival) It's held at Panasonic Stadium in Shah Alam... The Festival begins at 5.30pm but the rest [Lee Min,Jmie n Yau Hai Nee] were too excited they came to my house at 1.30pm when I clearly said 3pm lol~~~ but good thing, cause it took them 3 hours just to put on make up n wear their Yukata n Kimono waliaoooo *faints* indeed they are too stressed out. After that my mom gave us a lift to Wei Seng's house & it took him like 5 - 10 minutes just to come out & open the gate cause he was putting on facial mask~~ [swt"] my mom was laughing her guts out when she saw him... just as we thought that we could be on our way there, the dad wasn't at home......swt swt swt. So the four of us just waited for the fat boy to get ready & the father to reach home, meanwhile the youngest in the family is seriously scary for wanting attention... jumping all over the house taking umbrella, metal rod, blanket, mini table & so on... creepy giler man suddenly whack jmie non stop & Jmie still play along Atsumi swt sial. Sher n Fat Boy were playing with my sis's Camera bla bla skip skip skip... we were on our way there in the car the little sis was there too the rest kept quite lol dunno wat she'll do next, she is seriously Hot n Cold~~. Reached around 5.40pm I guess then de funny thing happens, everyone thought we were Japanese SWEAT" we walked in, almost everyone was starring at us, at 1st I thought it's because of de weird Kimono that I'm wearing, but noooo~ people start snapping pictures non stop with their fancy camera~ shis.. okey so we thought this may not happen in our lives again so a few pictures won't hurt ~ ~ ~ But a 100 will drive you Craaaazy !!! Oh My G.O.D 1 ask for permission then 10 different groups snap while they can No wonder Paparazzi are so hated n uninvited... & it goes on for 5 hours, stop for 5 minutes you see a flash light you talk you see 5 flash lights you smile you see 10 flash lights Gaaaaahhhhhh de worst one was tat 2 dudes who took my picture when I opened my mouth Gerammmm! if I see that picture anywhere I will kill you both. Argh Barely take any picture ourselves, haiz it's was a privilege... so Fuck off now for God sake we don't look Japanese at all haven't you people watch Japanese Drama series? sigh. okey besides those blinded people let's talk about de food... which erm ~ tasted quite tasteless to me perhaps Malaysian food contains more sugar n salt hoh hoh. the mochi n ice cream were ok la but de tako yaki really sucks they didn't even put any octopus inside TwT. hmmm what else~ o ya there isn't any hot Japanese guys haizzzz disappointment but at least there were very cute Japanese kids hehe. Overall it's was not bad hopefully I'll go to Penang's next year^^ pictures are uploaded in my Facebook, Myspace n some in my Flickr lazy to upload again. well I guess that's about it c ya in my next blog post ; ) Myspace Photos - Bon Odori 2009 Shah Alam Bon Odori info -Malaysia In Malaysia, Bon Odori Festivals are also celebrated every year in Penang and at the Matsushita Corp Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor. This celebration, which is a major attraction for the state of Selangor, is the brain child of the Japanese Expatriate & Immigrant's Society in Malaysia. In comparison to the celebrations in Japan, the festival is celebrated on a much smaller scale in Penang and Selangor, and is less associated with Buddhism and more with Japanese culture. Held mainly to expose locals to a part of Japanese culture, the festival provides the experience of a variety of Japanese food & drinks, art and dance. |
